Have you ever seen that woman who seems to do it all and still get Instagram pics of it all?

I have. I’ve met women like that in real life. I’ve watched a stay-at-home mom make the most adorable teacher gifts and still cook homemade dinners at night. I’ve seen a working mom pull 10-hour days and still single-handedly plan our church’s summer camp. Their resolve, commitment and passion are legit.

But we have to be careful; comparing ourselves to women with different strengths than us can hurt us. Because when we put other women on a pedestal, our emotional health often gets buried under that pedestal. To make matters worse, when we’re so hyper-focused on her and what she’s doing, it’s nearly impossible for us to stay focused on God and what He’s doing in and through us.
