As an activist for human rights, Zainab Salbi has visited war-torn countries across the world. In her travels, she says, she’s noticed that there are two sides to warfare: There’s the combat, and then there’s the day-to-day life of the regular citizens living in the midst of war.
In the video above, Zainab explains how communities learn to operate in such chaotic conditions and even find, in their own way, forms of resistance.
